Who am I

Foto van J.L. Bender Jim Bender M.S. (1958). I am a registered health psychologist (BIG registratienummer 19051464725) and graduated from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. I was born in the USA and have been living in the Netherlands since 1981. I worked for the Rutgers Foundation as a sexologist for 12 years. Since 2002 I have been working in my own practice. I also work as rehabilitation sexologist for the Sophia Rehabilitation Center in The Hague.

Besides working with couples around intimacy and sexuality, I am specialized in the sexual and relational consequences of a chronic illness and/or physical disability.
